Prerequisite
Recommended experience: equivalent to 6–12 months of hands-on experience managing projects in a tech environment.
Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will:
- Understand project life cycles, methodologies, and key roles within a project team.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan covering scope, schedule, and cost.
- Apply project management tools and techniques such as WBS creation, scheduling methods, and budgeting.
- Identify and manage project risks by performing risk assessments.
- Execute and monitor project activities using performance metrics, change control processes, and status reporting.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and engagement strategies.
- Perform proper project closure by capturing lessons learned and transitioning deliverables to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate readiness for the CompTIA Project+ (PK0‑005) exam.
